Fury - Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 10

*This review contains spoilers.*

Me, you, MTV's Teen Wolf. I am too excited to be coherent anymore...I will try to use proper grammar, but if we get a lot of Stiles scenes, see Peter Hale go all Alpha and/or see some shirtless Tyler Hoechlin, that is going to go out the window.

  • I really, really hope Derek is okay after what happened with him and Peter at the end of last episode..seriously, he is my favorite character (apart from Stiles...no, I don't ship Sterek), and if anything happens to him, I am going to be so upset.
  • This "previously on"...if Allison goes all "I'm a psycho like my psycho family," and tries to hurt Scott/Derek I'm going to abandon my pretense of liking her for the sake of Allison/Scott.
  • Oh, he is such a psycho.
  • Oh, Stiles, I love you. I love you.
  • This scene with Scott and Stiles and Sheriff Stilinski is too awesome!
  • Uh-oh, missing cop lady and ominous music doesn't bode well. Oh, shit! Dead one is even worse. Holy shit! What?! It's him!
  • Oh, my god! There is some kind of shirtless Derek dream sequence. Thank you, Tyler Hoechlin. Thank you, Jeff Davis. Thank you, MTV. Thank you, God. I feel somewhat ashamed of myself for being so appreciative of such blatant fanservice...but he's so beautiful I don't think about that for very long.
  • Whoa, whoa, vet dude is really laying into Derek on the trust thing...he looks so cute here for some reason. Derek, I mean, not the vet. Kind of awkward and vulnerable and lost after the whole, "You're not a good Alpha" speech from the vet.
  • Oh, God, this is scary!
  • Gerard Argent, you are a sick, manipulative bastard. Allison, I will hate you forever if you hurt Derek.
  • Derek! Yes! Oh, shit! Jackson! Oh, my God! People of the internet, and you all know that you're the coolest, this is the best episode of Teen Wolf ever, seriously, I am hyperventilating here. If the blog post cuts out randomly, it's because I died of the sheer awesomeness of this episode.
  • Oh, Allison, what are you doing? I kind of started to dislike her a few episodes ago, but if she decides to go all psycho huntress on anybody, let alone Derek, I am really, really going to hate her. I hate scenes like this...don't go down this path! I really like the song here, and there's a download on MTV's site! #awesome
  • Derek, snarky even when paralyzed...I love him.
  • And Matt, too! Haha!  And everybody has to diss Stiles! I love this show!
  • Oh, come on! Really? Sterek fangirls, rejoice, this episode is for you!
  • Oh, my God! Scott! No!
  • Oh, shit! What a twist! How did that happen to Matt?
  • Oh, Grandpa Argent you are a psychopath and if Allison touches Derek...I don't know what I'll do...Oh, damn, that bitch is cold. Oh, I officially hate her from a point of no return now.
  • Oh, yes, we're finally getting Matt's backstory. It was the drowning thing! Oh, my God, this is absolutely terrifying...this music...the emotion here...I am literally paralyzed with awe.
  • Then the damn Argents show up! No, not while Derek is paralyzed!
  • Oh, my God, this is the most terrifying thing ever! Wow, this show is amazing!
  • Yes, Derek is up!
  • Poor Scott! Oh, poor Scott, having realized Allison is a psychopath, I can't believe how bad I feel for you right now.
  • Damn! Good shot! I hope the kanima gets her so badly. Maybe not killing her, but at least paralyzing her to keep her from getting Derek. Yes! Bite her head off! Bite her head off! Okay, maybe not really, but do something!
  • Oh, my God, I'm starting to think Allison and the Argents aren't the only crazies in Beacon Hills...Matt's pretty out there, too.
  • Poor Stiles!
  • When are we finally going to figure out what is up with old man Argent?
  • YES!!!!! Werewolf Derek! Oh, you can so take him! Oh, my God, I normally don't condone violence, but this is very exciting!
  • Oh, God, is she going to see him...*gasp* Oh, God, don't freak out! Scott's already found out Allison's lost her marbles, don't you abandon him too! Oh, wow, what a moment! Is anyone else sobbing hysterically here?
  • Uh-oh, did Derek hear that conversation? Poor Derek, everyone seems to do something like this to him. He looks so sexy being all menacing by wall there.
  • Oh, God, Gerard, you're going to drown him, you really are a sick bastard.
  • Oh, wow, I feel a little bad for Matt, even though he was a psycho.
  • What?! Gerard and the kanima? Oh. My. God. These people really now how to throw you for a loop!
Wow. Wow. Wow. This was the most magnificent episode so far of the best show on television. I think I am having heart palpitations while simultaneously screaming and sobbing. This cannot be healthy. You will literally die with all the twists and turns in the space of an hour, and I cannot impart upon you how emotional this episode has been - I cried multiple times...God, I cannot get over the feeling of excitement/euphoria.

Everyone's acting is always superb on this show, but I'd like to comment that Stephen Lunsford (Matt) is absolutely amazing. Seriously, the guy is made of awesome. Also, there was a completely gratuitous shirtless Derek scene...I was very pleased, because Tyler Hoechlin is the most beautiful man in the world.

All I can tell you is this: I just watched the most riveting, stunning, emotional, magnificent, miraculous, ravishing episode of the greatest TV show ever. If you haven't seen this episode yet, stop whatever you are doing and watch it now. And if you don't watch the show, you should be...if you are a human being, or possibly merely a being of some kind, you will love this show more than you have loved anything else ever, because it is just that awesome.

Thank you for reading.

Opening Ceremony - London Olympics 2012

Even though I dislike sports, I appreciate the spectacle of the opening ceremony, so I tuned in and thought I'd share my thoughts with you. .

  • Oh, my God, it's starting, it's starting! I'm so excited! Ooooh, "Isles of Wonder" is a really good title! Okay, this river thing is amazing!
  • This scene is just adorably bucolic and I love the children's choir! Love this! And they have horses too? So cool! I need to know the name of this song, the one with "Jerusalem" in it.
  • Oh, my God, is it me or is the guy in the top hat quoting a line of Caliban's? Wait, wait, that's Kenneth Branagh!!! Oh, my God, this is why we need to let the British do this every year. Shakespeare was just quoted and I am crying with happiness. Finally, sports piques my interest!
  • Wow, this Industrial Revolution sequence is amazing! I have chills people, this is that good. One thousand drummers? Oh, my God! And they have suffragettes too! Do they sell this on DVD ever? I really want it.
  • That was sweet, with the silence. All these different groups are so cool...this is by far the best Olympics opening ceremony ever!
  • Whoa, the Olympic rings are in the freaking sky! I really have chills now, they are coming together in the sky! How much cooler could something be? Seriously, Danny Boyle, you are my  hero.
  • And now we're at Buckingham Palace? Oh, my God, that's Daniel Craig! And the Queen's Corgis (Awww!) Oh, I get it, he's James Bond and that's the Queen! Oh, my God, they have James Bond and the Queen! And a metal statue of Churchill just waved...I'm down with that I suppose. This film, "Happy and Glorious," I believe, is awesome...OH, MY GOD! PARACHUTES!!!!!!! That. Was. Awesome.
  • The Queen looks lovely in peach, if anyone didn't catch the show.
  • And the national anthem is done out loud and in sign language. How awesome is that? I just think this bit, with them raising the Union flag and singing/signing the national anthem is beautiful. And Britain just has a pretty national anthem in general.
  • Dance number with the National Health Service? Wow. I don't even know what to say about this. Political feelings about socialized medicine aside, this is freaking awesome! :)
  • OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! J.K. ROWLING!!!!!!!!!!!! It's J.K. Rowling!!!! Okay, hands down this is the best Olympics ever, like in the entire history of the Olympics. And Mary Poppins! What a number! Wow!
  • And they're doing "Chariots of Fire"! This is what awesome is made of...I'm legitimately crying into my tea right now. Oh, my God, it's Mr. Bean! And he's in the running scene! Whoa! Seriously, Britain, you are the most awesome country in the world for having an opening ceremony this amazing.
  • Oh, my God, is this...Oh, my God, this thing with the TV is super cool. And they're doing music! YES! This is like four decades of hits or something, how amazing is this? Oh, my God, is that "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones? IT IS! The rest of these I can't identify ...No, wait, that's the Beatles! This dance number is really, really awesome! SEX PISTOLS! Wow, props for the pyrotechnics! Oh, my God, I actually new that was the West Ham theme song! Oh, my God! Hugh Grant! Shrek and Fiona! Leo DiCaprio and Claire Danes kiss! I don't like rap, so I won't comment. Oh, my GOD! They have Sir Tim Berners-Lee! The guy who invented the world wide web! What an amazing sequence! That was beyond perfection!
  • Ah, yes, flashback to 1948 Wooo! Oh, I love these torch sequences! Oh, my God! That guy just proposed! How cute! Love the boat! Is that David Beckham? It is! :)
  • Aw, are you guys going to make me cry again? This is quite touching!
  • I was excited before, and now the actual athletes are showing up. Two hundred and four countries! Yes, Greece! I like that they get to go first! Very pretty dress on the Albanian girl with the metal petal thing. Same with the girl from Algeria. I'm not going to list every country because that would take too long, but this is really cool. American Samoa has very cool tribal outfits. The Argentinian athletes are very enthusiastic, I like them. I like that that one guy from Armenia had a camera...I would be that excited too. YAY! It's Australia! I love them! Their outfits are really stylish! That one Azerbaijan girl had beautiful hair! Wow, really cool outfit on the Bahrain flag bearer! The men from Belarus have really cool suits. I love the dresses the Belgian women have! I love the people from Bermuda! And the Bhutan flag bearer seemed so happy! :) Brazil has cute outfits! I also really love the Burundian women's dresses. Woooooooo! Canada! YES! Canada is in my top four favorite countries. I love them so much! The flagbearer for Chile has a beautiful dress! Wow, the flagbearer for China is SO tall! I love the Columbians hats! The flagbearer for the Cook Islands has beautiful hair and I love all the dresses their women have. The flagbearer for the Czech Republic is really cute...and I love that they are all wearing Wellies...just saying. I like the Danish outfits at lot, too. The flagbearer for Ethiopia is really pretty. Fiji has cool outfits, and I love they are having all these countries walk to the "Stayin' Alive" by the Beegees. Yay! France! Georgia looks nice! Wow, Germany really went for the bright and cheery look. They don't match their flag - oh, no, wait they have stripes on their hats that do! The Guam flagbearer is beautiful with a beautiful dress for all their female athletes. Wow, Guyana has some intense suits! Haiti looks so excited, I hope they get something! Aw, the Hungarian women's outfits are just darling! Iceland looks very nice. Wow, the independent athletes look very happy to be here :) The Iraqi flagbearer is really pretty. YAY! Ireland! Katie Taylor, their flagbearer for Ireland is pretty, too. I love that the Italians show up in gorgeous Armani, just saying. Jordan's outfits are really pretty! South Korea is wearing fedoras. I love you guys. The Latvians look really pretty. Oh, my God, Liechtenstein is a really cool country name. The Luxembourg people look very happy. Wow, the Malaysian team has a very vibrant set of outfits. Mexico has really gone all out with the colors and gems and hats and stuff. Props to you guys! I love Monaco so much as a country! Mongolia's outfits are very classy. The Dutch are gorgeous...I like that they wear tulips. Wow, the New Zealand flagbearer has a cool cloak. I absolutely adore the Nigerian women's dresses. Wooo! Norway! Gorgeous outfits! The woman in the blue for Oman has a stunning ensemble. I love the outfit on the Palau flagbearer, that is awesome! The Paraguay people have absolutely stunning outfits, red dresses for the women, blue and white suits for the men. I love the Polish women's outfits. Props to Qatar for bringing women for the first time! Wow, Russia brought 436 people! Ah, that's Maria Sharapova! Rwandan women have cool headpieces. The dresses for the women from San Marino are very nice. Good job Saudi Arabia for bringing women for the first time! Love the Senegalese yellow. The Serbian flagbearer looks super happy. The Spanish look super excited. :) Suriname is the first country I haven't heard of...sorry, Suriname. You gotta love Sweden! Love the Swiss outfits! Like the Trinidad and Tobago dresses. The Ukrainian flagbearer is very excited. Here's the United Arab Emirates, so that means we're next! Ah, yes, here we are! Wow, we brought 530 people?! I don't care what people say, I love the Ralph Lauren outfits! We looks suitably excited and exuberant, so I'm happy! Vanuatu is the second country I've never heard of. My apologies Vanuatu! I'm super excited to see Britain when they come in. YAY! Here they are! Oh, my God, I love the white and gold! Wow, they have 541 people! That's so impressive! Okay, I'm in tears again. And they have seven billion bits of paper, one for each person. This is just the best moment ever...I'm so rooting for you guys!
  • Whoa, these are the coolest fireworks ever! This performance from the Arctic Monkeys is awesome, too. Oh, my GOD! They've got cyclists with lit up wings! How amazing is that?
  • This is a nice welcome speech, and his description of London is very poetic.
  • The second speech is nice as well. I like the "inspire a generation" portion.
  • This is the first time I've ever heard the Queen speak....just wanted to mention that.
  • Oh, wow those fireworks were amazing!!!!!
  • This part, with the Olympic flag, is really, really nice.
  • I didn't know they had an Olympic anthem. Learn something new every day, I suppose.
  • Wow, I really like the pyrotechnics on the boat's pathway. Oh, yay, Stephen Redgrave has the torch!
  • ...And the oaths...
  • Yes, back to the torch! Aw, the torch being carried up by all these teenagers is a really great. The flames in the dark is a really great image. Oh, wow! I love how the copper petals all light up in like a circle...too cool! And then they go up to the top! Wow, that was beautiful!
  • Yay! More kickass fireworks!
  • Oh, my God, Paul McCartney is doing "Hey Jude"! That's my favorite Beatles song! Only because it was Mary Winchester's on Supernatural but still. Oh, my God, the entire stadium doing the "Na na na-na-na-na," bit is a beautiful moment. Seriously, I want this on my iPod!

I think this was the best Olympics opening ceremony ever and that Danny Boyle is my freaking hero. We should abandon whatever method we have for choosing a country to do this and just let the British do it every time, because this was amazing. Kenneth Branagh doing Shakespeare, J.K freaking Rowling, Mary Poppins, Mr. Bean, James Bond, the Queen and Paul McCartney with "Hey Jude"? What more do you want in an opening ceremony?

Seriously, this was the best Olympics opening ceremony in the entire history of the Olympics, in my opinion, and I love you Britain, and I want you to win because your opening ceremony was that amazing.

Thank you for reading, and check back for more thoughts from me as the 2012 London Olympics progress.

The Amazing Spider-Man

*This review  contains spoilers.*

For someone who claims not to like superhero movies, you may be wondering why I go and see so many of them. The answer to that is I never usually pick the film, I just sort of go....but I'm glad I did, because this was AWESOME.

I just want to say that Andrew Garfield is the best Peter Parker/Spiderman ever. Okay, genuinely, not only is  he absolutely gorgeous, but he just plays it so well. If I had to choose a superhero that was my favorite, it would be Spiderman, even though I hate spiders, because of how awesome Peter Parker is. Seriously, the adorably nerdy factor in this movie was through the roof. I liked Avatar because it was an emblem of nerd power when the doctor and her fellow scientists worked with the Navi to defeat the evil corporate army people, and that's what I got from this movie, at least a little bit: nerd/outcast power.

Also, Peter asking out Gwen, with all the stumbling and awkwardness...that was just too cute. I love cute awkward nerdy guys (not that I don't also like hunky bad boys, but that's a story for another post), and this movie delivered. It really, really delivered. I know that the cute romantic parts of movies like this aren't really supposed to be the focus, but it's what I focus on, okay? That scene in Gwen's bedroom after the lizard thing slashed Peter's chest was absolutely adorable....and the end! With the promise to her father and the best promises being broken, that was just heartwarming.

So, I've told you why I love Andrew Garfield as Peter/Spiderman and why I adored his relationship with Gwen (and I loved Emma Stone in Easy A, so I was like "YES!" when I knew she was in this), but I really liked the movie as a whole. I don't know if it was the music or the tone or what, but I just really felt like this was a great movie.

I'm going to suggest this for everyone, because if you come to it like "Yes, superhero movie, woo!" you'll like it, in my opinion, of course, or if you're someone like me who is pretty indifferent about these types of things, you should just go, because I think it was just a well made movie, and Andrew Garfield is an amazing Spiderman. (That pun on the title was actually not intended...I'm embarrassed, but not going to delete it in the interest of full disclosure with you.)

Party Guessed - Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 9

*This review contains spoilers.*

Oh, my God! I am literally squealing right now....I am way too old to fan girl. I'm officially an adult now, I really should stop squealing...uh, no, that's not going to happen. Yay, another review of MTV's amazing Teen Wolf (my favorite show ever!).

  • I am beyond excited to see who the kanima is and how Scott and Allison progress.
  • Oh, no, shower scenes always end up with something horrible happening to the showering person. Oh, here we go...poor Lydia, she's been through so much already and she manages to do it all with beautiful hair intact. Oh, wow, that was the best beginning to an episode ever. Holland Roden is so freaking amazing. Just saying, in case anyone was unaware. Unbelievably, that just kept getting better and better.
  • Oh, yes, finally get to see what happened to Allison's mom! Wow, Gerard is cold.
  • I really like this new camaraderie between Tyler and Derek....his little "for your protection" bit was cute.
  • Am I the only one who isn't feeling Matt and Allison? Ah yes, Allison gets to snoop! Oh, dear God, Matt is some kind of freaking stalker! Oh, this is terrifying! Drive away, drive away, drive away, drive away, drive away! Oh, dear God, I am so terrified right now! Wow, that was an amazing scene. So, Matt's a stalker? Is that his only motive?
  • Yes, a Derek and pack scene! I totally like him for more reasons than that Tyler Hoechlin looks really hot in that tank top. Is it even called that for guys? I have no idea. Erica cracked me up with the period joke, just saying.
  • Yay, Lydia and Allison having some kind of fashion show! I feel really bad for calling Allison's mom a psycho bitch last review...I feel for her now. Eaddy Mays is an amazing actress! I absolutely love her, she is so phenomenal.
  • Aw, this is a sweet Stiles and Sheriff Stilinski scene together. Wait, what, Isaac's dad????? Oh, my God, what does the swim team have to do with this?
  • Wow, Jackson is legitimately scary right now. I still feel bad for him, and I hope they can resolve this without killing him.
  • Annnddd, Allison is alone in the middle of the night when she knows she has a stalker? Oh, it's Lydia's party.
  • Oh, Stiles. You gotta love him. You just have to.
  • Poor Lydia, I feel really bad for her right now.
  • Why exactly does Erica get the headband of pain? Because she's a girl? That was some impressive screaming on Gage Golightly's part.
  • Relationship advice from Stiles is golden.
  • Ah, Jackson!
  • Derek's anchor is anger? Why I am surprised? Wow, that was a completely terrifying pan over to Boyd and Erica. I don't envy Derek right now.
  • Wow, Eaddy Mays is a badass.
  • Oh, Scott, don't drink that!
  • Allison! You are the bravest girl I know. I hope you don't fall for this line of crap. Wow, Matt turned out to be a total ass. You go girl! Crystal Reed is an amazing actress!
  • HOLY SHIT! What the hell is this?! What is in that punch? It looked like the wolfsbane stuff that Lydia had, but it's creating hallucinations...
  • Oh, my God! What the hell is Stiles's dad doing?! No, no! You don't get to talk to him like that! He's too cute to be hurt like this! Shut up you bastard!
  • I absolutely love the look we get into everyone's character's by what they see in these hallucinations.
  • Poor Jackson! Colton Haynes is a really great actor, in case you didn't know...which you did, of course, because it's blindingly obvious.
  • Whoa?! Lydia?
  • Oh, whoa, haha, "Gonna need some help," from Derek was hilarious! Oh, poor Derek!
  • Whoever that girl who dunked Stiles is, she's awesome!
  • Wow, the Erica/Boyd/Isaac/Derek fight is freaking awesome!
  • Oh, my God!!!!!! NO! Allison's mom! Whose name I now know is Victoria! NO! This heartbreaking! She isn't going to do it! No way! I'm sorry I ever hated her. No, no, no, no! Oh, dear God! Wow! That was literally the greatest scene ever!
  • So, Isaac used his father as an anchor? That is a very interesting development.
  • So, Lydia blows magic purple dust as Derek? Am I alone in saying what the hell right now?
  • Oh, God! Crystal Reed is by far the best actress ever!
  • Whoa, who is the guy who can't swim?! Who is it?! Is that MATT?! HOLY SHIT! Oh, dear GOD! But, but, what does Matt have to do with a swim team from 2006? WHAT?! Oh, dear God, Teen Wolf you never cease to amaze me! WHOA!
  • Oh, no, what the heck is Lydia doing with Derek? Oh, God, it's the charred corpse of Peter Hale! NO! If he gets Derek I am going to be so pissed! Did he just un-alpha Derek?! That was amazing foreshadowing with Derek's definition of a triskelion! Holy shit, this is the most intense moment in televised history. Oh, my God!
  • And the trailer? Scott's mom? Allison wants Derek dead? What? What?
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! I cannot adequately describe how utterly awesome and kickass this show is, so you just need to go and watch it, okay? This is the most emotionally riveting episode ever, okay? Just trust me and go watch this amazing show!

Thanks for reading!

*This review contains spoilers.*

As I do every week, here is a review of TNT's Falling Skies as I watched the episode!

  • I love this show so much! I hope Karen's betrayal pushes Hal back towards Maggie! Oh, poor Ben! No matter how much of a dumbass he was for trusting Karen, I still feel bad for the poor kid. This is really great acting on his part.
  • Ah, yes! Second Mass to the rescue! Great action sequence here, and I usually hate those.
  • Poor Matt, does anyone think about him left alone back at camp while his father and brothers are away?
  • YES! Maggie is okay! Wooooooooo! I love her so much, she's becoming one of my favorite characters.
  • Oh, Jameel and Lourdes! Woooo! I love this show, TNT you are amazing!
  • Aw, Weaver was so cute with Matt just there. Not that I'm in favor of giving children weapons, even in a post-apocalyptic setting.
  • I am amazed how this show manages to still keep me on tenterhooks! Oh, no! Anne, Lourdes and Matt!
  • Oh, poor Tom, to hear this about Ben from Weaver!
  • That was a nice scene with Hal, Karen and Tom.
  •  Oh,what a sweet Hal and Ben moment! Oh, wow, what a moment between Tom and Ben! That was beautiful! So angst-filled and angry.
  • HOLY SHIT! What happened to Jameel?! What is in that stairwell? It sounds like maybe Skitters?
  • Ah, yes, Maggie and Hal alone time! What a direct question, Maggie! Ah, yes!!!!!! Hal and Maggie kiss! Wooooooooooo! This is so amazing! Guys, go watch the episode! They are the best couple on this show! Whoa! Watch. This. Now!
  • Whoa! Amazing special effects on the creepy-crawlies in the access tunnels! I'm glad they decided to introduce a new form of alien, it keeps things extra-lively!
  • Oh, don't say "I love you," Jameel! You're going to die! Oh, sweet Jesus! They were in him! Ew! Oh, God! Oh, no! Anne and Lourdes and Matt better make it! Nooo! Jameel!
  • Ah, yes! POPE! Wooooo! I wonder what prompted his sudden desire to follow Tom's orders? Very interesting development here!
  • Oh, Matt, you're a brave kid!
  • Oh, no! Don't kill Boone (Boon?)! That was awful!
  • Oh, cool flamethrower! Thank God Anne and Lourdes are okay! Poor Jameel!
  • Wow! That was a ballsy move, Tom! Now the aliens have no reason not to blow them up!
  • Oh, Hal, show up that bitch please! I cannot wait for her to see her dying Overlord. YES! Yes! Thank God! That was beautiful.
  • Oh, Matt is so cute!
  • Wow, this is looking like it's actually working! Yay!
  • And we appear to be having a Tom and Anne moment! YES! This is so heartwarming!
  • Ouch. Lourdes is taking it hard. Great acting though.
  • Oh, Ben, what the hell are you doing?! Thank God you're there Tom! Oh, Tom don't let your son leave like this! Oh, God, I'm bawling my eyes out right now. No, Ben don't leave! Ben! No! NO! Ben, you can't! Noooo!
One of the most emotional episodes ever! It was amazing for all the action, the new concepts, the kickass moments, the tragedy...I literally cried aloud at the end! Wonderful, wonderful episode, please please go watch it, it was amazing!

Thank you for reading!

Raving - Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 8

*This review contains spoilers.*

Me, MTV's Teen Wolf, play-by-play.

  • Oh, my God! This is so the high point of my TV week, and I watch a lot of TV! I am so excited, if you're not watching this show that you ought to be because it is awesome! Predictions: I don't know! I can't predict things for this show, it's that wild...hoping for a reveal of the kanima's master. Something is up with Mr. Harris...I mean, he has the bumper sticker and he's just too weird...but Gerard had that weird moment with the kanima in front of the car....I don't know, I make no predictions! Oh, here it comes! So excited!
  • Uh-oh, I hope Jackson doesn't strike again. Camera guy? And Scott, too? What's going on? This is good!
  • Oooooh, creepy age comparison! This is getting good! Ah ha! Creepy Mr. Harris! He is so the kanima's master, he has to be.
  • Oh, no! Look out ticket booth girl! Oh, wow! This is an amazing turn of events!
  • Have I ever said how much I enjoy the title thing? If I didn't, I'm saying it now!
  • What kind of father-daughter excursion is a trip to the morgue? Mr. Argent, you really need to get a parenting class.
  • Allison is becoming one of my favorite characters, I just love her.
  • Derek! Woooo! :) Haha, I love the way he treats Isaac.
  • The vet is awesome!
  • Oh, Stiles.
  • Hahahahaha, Isaac getting the tickets was hilarious. I love this show so much.
  • Uh-oh, this looks bad for Allison/Scott...this music is ominous. Oh, haha, callback to the lovely scene with Scott and Allison's mom last episode. Oh, this is so awkward but cute and adorable, too!
  • Wait, wait, he says "I love you," she says "You, too," methinks there's a disparity in - HOLY SHIT ALLISON'S MOM! Wow, Eaddy Mays can really pull off livid, just saying. Oh, no! Teen Wolf knows how to keep you on tenterhooks!
  • God, Stiles is adorable...and I'm worried about his ability to do this whole spread the ash thing.
  • Wow, the Argents are freaking serious.
  • Oh, no, what's wrong with Stiles's dad? I liked him....Oh, no! Fired over Stiles? Wow, this show is absolutely amazing! I mean, seriously, the writers on this are phenomenal. Poor Stiles! Dylan O'Brien is amazing, too, of course, but you knew that already.
  • Whoa...Isaac and Erica are looking pretty badass!
  • Uh-oh, this is going downhill fast...I love this show...oh, wow, I literally cannot think of a single way this can resolved happily.
  • Aw, touching Scott and Isaac moment.
  • Whoa! It's Boyd! Long time, no see! I'm looking forward to some kind of Derek/Chris standoff....Oh, no, they're shooting! If somebody shoots Derek...wow, this is a totally badass scene. Wow, the Derek electrocution was just wow!
  • Oh, shit, he just clawed them both! No! They better be okay! Come on Isaac! YES! God, I love this show!
  • NOOOO! Scott! He better be okay! Allison's mother is such a bitch!
  • Yay, triumphant moment for Stiles! Wooo!
  • Damn you, Allison's mother! What a development!
  • Aw, poor Isaac! Jackson is so creepy like this.
  • Oh, it is SO the chemistry teacher!
  • Derek, so self-sacrificing...I love him.
  • Oh, this is so creepy...God, this is an amazing show!
  • Oh, good job, Isaac/Erica/Stiles.
  • Noooo! They got whatshername!
  • Yay for Stiles!
  • Aw, Derek to the rescue! No, you psycho bitch don't you hurt Derek!
  • Scott...wake up!
  • Whoa...whoa...Ms. Morrel?!
  • YES! Derek bit her! I hope to God she turns into a werewolf!
What an episode! That was literally amazing! I really like the fact that Scott sort of reached out to Isaac and that Derek then pulled through for Scott. I feel awful about Stiles's father, but I'm glad he kind of had a triumphant moment with the ash. I literally cannot tell you what I think about who is what anymore, except that I liked the Derek in this episode, and that the writers are amazing and Stiles is awesome and that Scott/Allison better prevail and that MTV is freaking awesome and I cannot wait until next Monday!

You should watch this show because it is the best on TV! Woooo!

Thanks for reading!

Homecoming - Falling Skies Season 2 Episode 6

*This review contains spoilers.*

My thoughts on TNT's Falling Skies as I watch it!

  • I am really looking forward to more Hal/Maggie this episode...*crosses fingers*
  • Oh! Well, starting off with Anne and Tom is just as good. Their relationship is just precious. Moon Bloodgood and Noah Wyle are absolutely amazing.
  • Oh, God, Weaver what are you saying? Holy shit! This is impressive convulsing on Weaver's actor's part...very interesting development, TNT, you do know drama.
  • Yay, Hal and Maggie! Oh, Maggie, no! You and Hal are destined for each other! Nooooo!
  • Oh, God, KAREN! Well, that's one way to clear the obstacles for Mag - Holy shit! Damn, I've jumped so many times during this episode and I'm barely 10 minutes. Whoa, whoa, whoa! You need to watch this show!
  • ...And now we have more subtle, long-term problems...oh, this episode is/is going to be the best so far, I just know it!
  • Ben needs to back off...I think we can trust Karen, look how sincere she is! Oh, this is an awkward love triangle.
  • Ben, you bastard! And Maggie too! Karen needs to be okay!
  • Trouble in paradise...Oh, they fight well..."Rebecca, stop!"? Yikes, Tom, you're in trouble.
  • Ben, what the fuck is the matter with you?! Leave Karen alone! Uh-oh, that was a suspicious sip from that cup thing...can I really be that poor of a judge of character?
  • That sounds absolutely crazy...props to whoever does their medical research.
  • Wait, is that Anth - POPE! IT'S POPE! POPE IS BACK! Woooooooooooooooo! In case you missed my review of the previous episode, I like him more than I should. I hate him, too, but I missed him.
  • Whoa, whoa, whoa! Karen/Ben? What the hell was that? I really want to trust Karen here, but what if this is a ploy to drive a rift between Hal and Ben...God, I LOVE TNT!!!!! Watch this episode immediately!
  • Oh no! Weaver had better live! This is such a good scene!
  • Maggie...what the heck are you doing? Oh, dear God. Maggie! Oh, no, Karen! Oh, shit, Maggie!!! Oh, no, don't die on me, Maggie!
  • Ben, no! What are you doing?! He better be alright! Oh, what the heck is going on? No, no, no!
  • Aw, sweet Anne and Tom moment!
  • Yes! Pope! Wooo!
  • ....And poor Tom gets hit with a ton of bricks when the shit hits the fan! Noah Wyle is such a great actor!
Okay, wow! In conclusion, TNT is the best television network ever, I am the world's worst judge of character ever, Maggie better be alright and I am so, so, so ridiculously happy that Pope is back!

Go watch the episode right now, it is beyond amazing!

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

*This review may contain spoilers.*

This book is absolutely phenomenal, and if you're thinking about getting it, just buy it, you will love it! The book trailer did not do it justice, in my opinion, I found it a bit hokey, but the book was wonderful, and much better than the trailer led me to believe.

I hadn't heard of Rachel Hartman before, which is explained when the inside front cover states that this is her "fantasy debut." However, I am very happy that I am now aware of this author, because she is awesome!

First off, I got this book because I was intrigued by the amazing cover I saw in an email from Barnes and Noble; it's like an antique wood engraving or something! Then, if you look underneath the dust jacket, it's bound in this golden color with a black leather type thing on the spine...it's really, really beautiful. Also, it's a good size book, too, nice and big!

I had my father pick this up for me, and he handed it to me around noon and I finished it just now (around quarter 'til nine), so that should give you an indication of how engaging a read this was! Books that I can finish in one day really, really go up in points for me.

The world in this book was just great! I, personally, get a bit of a Medieval feel from the clothing and system of government, but it's set in a completely fantasy world. Our protagonist hails from Goredd, but there is an abundance of other places and peoples referenced; I always like to feel like the world is a world that I have the privilege of peeking in on through the page, not like the world was created to allow for the story to take place, and I absolutely get that feeling from Seraphina.

I really, really, really like Rachel Hartman's style of writing. It's a very melodious, almost like it has a cadence of some sort, which is quite fitting, due to Seraphina's musical abilities. I find I am unable to describe it accurately, but it's very lush and magical; I enjoyed it immensely. I am definitely keeping an eye out for this author's future novels.

I also found Seraphina to be a great heroine. I really enjoyed the way she grappled with truth and her identity and such, and it really touched me.

...And, of course, the romance with Prince Lucian Kiggs. Yay, romance! This book didn't have an overwhelming amount of romance, but what there was was very satisfying. I liked Kiggs a lot, though I didn't get all melt-y over him like I do with other heroes, it was  more of a pleasant, heartwarming kind of a thing. I may or may not have engaged in some good old-fashioned fangirl squeeing during their final scene in the tower.

The mystery and intrigue and the anger and violence and prejudice and death in this book...I don't want to say it was gritty, since that would be very discordant with the overall tone, but it was ... real. For a book marked as for people 12 - 17 on the Barnes and Noble website, it was surprisingly sincere and deep and ... epic.

That's a good word...this is not a young adult novel, this is an epic. Okay, maybe not with an invocation of the Muse or an in media res opening, but it's just a broad, sprawling narrative that encapsulates a young woman's quest for truth and love, the politics of two kingdoms soon to be at war with themselves and each other and very universal themes that make this book one of the best ones I've read in a long time.

Final Verdict: Infinity and beyond/10. It was completely perfect, and I highly recommend you pick it up! I'm completely genuine when I tell you that if you are a literate individual, then this book is for you! It's just magical, really. I'm going to make one of the most radical statements I have ever made in my entire eighteen years of life: I believe this book to be the best fantasy book I have ever read, possibly ever written. The world was expansive and rich and real and the characters were genuine and lovable and the plot was intriguing and everything was just perfect.

For more info, check out the author's website here, I'm going to go put this book on The Shelf.

Thanks for reading!

Perception by Kim Harrington

*This review contains spoilers.*

This book is the sequel to Clarity, about a teenage girl in Cape Cod who has psychic abilities and finds herself faced with a murder investigation as well as a love triangle.

My Thoughts:

  1. I should mention that I loved the first book, so of course I picked this one up.
  2. I really, really enjoyed this book. It was so engaging that I can honestly say I read it in about two and a half hours.
  3. Just a random thing, the inside covers are done with this really natural looking green paper...it's like flecked with tree fibers or something. It's just a gorgeously bound book in general.
  4. Like the first book, I enjoyed the paranormal influence throughout...how normal it is to the Fern family, how embedded it is.
  5. Kim Harrington's style is just to die for! I love, love, love the way she writes. It's very accessible and fluid, but still very much poignant, in my opinion.
  6. The mystery in this book is just amazing! You really are kept guessing on all fronts. Twists and turns all over the place.
  7. I really did feel genuine prickles of fear on my spine. It's easy to get that through the visceral sense of cinematography and sound effects in a movie, but I rarely get that in a book. However, here, I was literally freaked out. Like, I read this from roughly 6:00 PM to 8:00PM and if it had been any later, I would've genuinely been frightened, Kim Harrington is that good.
  8. The love interests! Woooo! Can I just say I love Gabriel. His protection of Clare from Cody, his passion, his understanding, how he's willing to bank his future on her decision...just his general demeanor is very appealing. In the end, the love triangle was resolved in a very satisfactory manner.
  9. I loved the ending of this book. Clarity ended on kind of an ominous note, what with the creepy prediction from that other psychic in town, but Perception ended on a high note.
  10. I don't mean to be critical of the Young Adult genre (I am a young adult, after all), but I find that some of them are characterized by rather cheap thrills. That's fine, I mean, camp is a good, fun romp occasionally, but I really think that this book is better than that. I don't mean to say that I think it was necessarily an awakening of my soul or anything, but I did think a lot about relationships and popularity and people and my own life. You know, it kind of was soul-stirring, for me at least.
  11. I don't know what to tell you other than I thought this was a well-written, engaging, entertaining book that genuinely made me care for the characters and swoon a bit over Gabriel. (Not that it's hard to make me swoon.) This is pretty much what I want to get when I go to the store looking for a new book.
Who Should Read It:
  • Mystery fans! Seriously, I was guessing and having to re-evaluate and guessing again for a good two-hundred of the almost three-hundred pages of this book.
  • People who read the first one! This one is just as good, if not better, in my opinion.
  • Most people! I really like this as a book and highly recommend it.
Final Score: 10/10 Pretty much perfect. Not in a way that I'd ever read it again, but in a reading it was a wonderful experience kind of way.

I checked out Kim Harrington's website (here), and apparently her next book is called The Dead and Buried and will be available next year! Ah, I'm so excited! Definitely look that up (or click that link) because it sounds really good!

Thank you for reading!

Restraint - Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 7

*This review contains spoilers.*

As usual, these are my thoughts on MTV's Teen Wolf as I watch the episode.

  • I am so excited...I generally don't get excited about shows until I'm setting down to watch them, but I have been excited about this all day, no joke. Predictions: the counselor is revealed to be an enemy in some way, Jackson and Scott get over their differences in the face of pressures from outside forces. Hopes: Derek scenes! And an identity for Lydia's friend, played by Michael Fjordbak (you know, the one who brought Prada back to her last episode).
  • I just love the cinematography of this show. Well, this is a sweet moment between two complete strangers. Who the heck are these people? Have I tuned into the right thing? Lizard tail from the sky? Oh, yes, this is it. So, we're to believe that someone is using the kanima as some sort of enforcer?
  • The kanima doesn't kill pregnant women? Good to know.
  • God, I love this show...you should watch it if you don't.
  • Haha, this is hilarious. Particularly the parents' simultaneous arm crossing.
  • Aw, that was a tender moment between Scott and his mom.
  • Poor Sheriff Stilinski. He tries so hard.
  • Finally, some Derek! Woot! Wow, the dynamic between Derek and his pack is absolutely riveting!
  • I love Allison's clothes! So, so much!
  • Did I tell you Stiles is amazing? Well, if you didn't know, now you do.
  • Who the hell has a freaking tarantula in their classroom? Hmm? Yeah, no one. Jackson! Oh, God, if he touches that snake...oh, ew, creepy! Really, really creepy!OH! I didn't know creepy until now! What the hell was that? What. Was. That?!
  • Poor Mrs. McCall. Oh, God, are you sure you want to open that Mrs. McCall? Didn't think so. That was freaking hilarious!
  • ....And there's nothing creepy about lurky camera guy. Good to see him again.
  • Oh, Stiles...
  • Oh, this is terrifying! Allison, get out of there!
  • Haha, Stiles, you crack me up!
  • I had no idea that Jackson could be so menacing and awful....what a bastard!
  • This fight scene is impressive, and I don't even like fight scenes.
  • Whoa, whoa, whoa, Erica liked Stiles! Amazing revelation! Love it! <3
  • I cannot wait for that detention session.
  • Wooo! Lydia/random dude action!
  • This is hilarious! I love this show, I love this show, I love this show!
  • Oh, Mrs. McCall...shut up! Don't open your big mouth. Shush! Just shush!
  • The chemistry teacher is showing a lot of concern...suspicious!
  • OH DEAR GOD!!!!!!!!!! What the fuck was the point of that?!
  • Lydia has beautiful hair!
  • Uh-oh, suspicious date!
  • That chem teacher is such a bastard.
  • Haha, oh, the phallic innuendos here. That scene was literally to die for.
  • ...Lydia finds an abandoned house?
  • I hope someone kills that bastard chem teacher...AH!!! It was him! The bumper sticker! THE STICKER!
  • Something tells me this is going to get ugly. Oh, shit! This is almost too tense.
  • Oh, Jesus, this is creepy! I am literally shaking over the keys right now. It is so that freaking chem teacher. Mr. Harris  or whatever.
  • Scott...poor, sweet Scott who means so well and tries so hard.
  • I really like random guy with the abandoned house...he's too cute! Props to MTV for this gorgeous guy! ...Who is now a hallucination.
  • Oh, Jesus, Derek what the hell are you doing?! Okay, I might ship Stiles/Erica now.
  • Scott, no! NO! Not with Derek! You are not with Derek's pack!
  • Uh-oh, don't kill her! No! Damn you!
  • What, is Lydia having a total psychotic break right now?
Well. Wow. That was one hell of an episode! I am serious, there are no words. I was completely amazing and I absolutely recommend it, right freaking now!

Love and Other Acts of Courage - Falling Skies Season 2 Episode 5

*This review contains spoilers.*

Once again, my thoughts on tonight's episode of TNT's absolutely amazing show Falling Skies.

  • No predictions...hope for more romance! :)
  • What is this? Skitter version of a sun salutation? Yoga-practicing aliens, the death of us all. I'm sorry, that was irreverent. To yoga masters, anyway.
  • I am opposed to the Ben-is-a-Skitter-in-progress bit - the poor kid has been through enough.
  • *Gasp* Hal/Maggie! Maggie has beautiful hair, just saying...Aw, this is cute! I love this! I root for Maggie/Hal! Yay, TNT you are amazing!
  • Uh-oh...then again, we do need a good action sequence now and again.
  • What does it say about me that I think Matt is so cute when he's trying to be all tough?
  • ...Wait, are those dead Mechs? What is going on? Are these new people? I want more new people, that was super fun last episode.
  • Whoa! WHOA! I'm super glad to see Rick...this will make for an interesting plot turn.
  • Uh-oh...that does not look good. I feel like I learn so much about medical stuff from disaster shows like this.
  • I really admire Tom's dedication to his sons. The family dynamic they have going on is one of my favorite parts of this show.
  • I wouldn't trust Rick...he's betrayed them before...he'll do it again, in my opinion, of course...Oh, this is going to end badly.
  • Oh, I feel bad for Ben here for some reason. He just looks so...lost.
  • Hal and Maggie in a tiny little car together like this? Oh, yes! This has to got to be one of my favorite scenes so far!
  • Because, you know, nothing says maintaining calm like bringing a Skitter through the middle of camp.
  • Oh, Ben...this is so sad...for both Tom and Ben...very well-acted.
  • Ah, yes, back to the car! This is too perfect! This is so one of my favorite shows ever. "Always." Oh, that was precious!
  • Oh, no! A death squad? Really?! You couldn't have mentioned that earlier?
  • This is somehow still romantic in a little bit of an offbeat way. Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! YES!!!!!! Wooooo! Oh, this is wonderful! Wait, Maggie, come back!
  • Maggie, don't be such a bitch!
  • Oh, Hal, you're going to rescue her anyway! I love you so much Hal!
  • Whoa! Rick! Oh, shit!
  • Oh, Maggie, too! This is too scary! Poor everybody!
  • Okay, that was a really cute Ben and Tom moment.
  • I hope Maggie feels bad about rejecting Hal now! Please, please be kind to Hal, Maggie! Okay, that was pretty good I suppose. Oh, the hand! Yes! Too cute! Aw! Squee!
  • That was a very sweet Tom and Weaver moment.
  • That was very saucy Tom/Anne. ;)
  • Oh, Ben, what is this...oh, okay...well, that's not too worrisome.
The romance between Hal and Maggie this episode was to die for. There was minimal Anne/Tom, but there was more romance this episode than any other. I loved it, and I legitimately think it was the best episode of Falling Skies we have seen so far...it is also the first episode in which I have finished my review before midnight rolled around! Woooo! I'm so excited! :)

This was an absolutely magnificent episode and I encourage you to watch it if you didn't!

Thank you so much for reading!

EDIT: At 11:57 PM - within the day - am I the only one missing Pope? I don't know why, I just liked him a lot as a character; he was funny and so totally a little bit sexy. Agree/disagree? Feel free to comment. 11:58 PM and done! Wooo!

Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott

Recently, I purchased a bunch of classic novels from Half-Price Books, and this was among them. I was very excited to read it, and it did not disappoint.

My Thoughts

  1. I absolutely love Sir Walter Scott's style - it's amazing! His language is simply enthralling, and I highly recommend this book just for that.
  2. I will allow my nerdy flag to fly high: Medieval England is very near and dear to me, so I liked that a lot.
  3. I mean, come on, Robin Hood was in it! Woo!
  4. I'm not going to lie, everything Wilfred went through to marry Lady Rowena and even for Rebecca was just so touching, and I thought the relationships were wonderfully portrayed.
  5. I really can honestly say I cried while Cedric was in the dungeon waxing poetic on the degradation of his race (the Saxons), Scott is that good.
  6. Brian de Bois-Guilbert. I was rooting for him, too, licentious though he was. Something about him get niggling my brain, and I finally realized what it was when he approached Rebecca in her cell before her execution and told her he'd dishonor himself as a Templar, as a knight and as a man and not turn up at the trial by combat if she only promised to love him in return. She refuses, and he's hurt that death is preferable to life with him. Think on that for a bit, it should come to you.....Sir Guy of Gisborne to Marian in BBC's Robin Hood! When the people who laid siege to Nottingham Castle told Guy he could only take his wife with him, and he proposed to Marian and she refused him! Then, later in Ivanhoe, when the trial by combat is about to commence, Brian de Bois-Guilbert asks Rebecca to climb astride his horse and is prepared to sacrifice everything, most likely have to fight for their survival and ride pell-mell out of England all together, and Rebecca still refuses him! I wanted her to love him back, even though he had his vices, I just think it's horribly sad when that level of devotion is rejected. Back to the Robin Hood analogy, it does not hold true in that respect: Robin/Marian is my OTP and I will go down with that ship. However, I, personally, am somewhat co-dependent and have a thing for damaged men (and, you know, the appreciation for Richard Armitage in leather pants that I am sure is universal to the female population).
Who Should Read It
  • Fans of Medieval romances/epic quests/knights in shining armor/damsels in distress, that kind of thing.
  • Fans of literature.
This was an amazing book that I really enjoyed reading and have placed on The Shelf...10/10 at least...really, really, really good. If you're contemplating reading it or just looking for a book, you will not be disappointed with Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe

Frenemy - Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 6

*This review contains spoilers.*

The following is my perspective of MTV's Teen Wolf as I watch the latest episode.

  • I have no predictions on just who Jackson saw in the car with the Einstein quote, nor anything about why Lydia is immune...but I really don't trust Bianca Lawson's character (the French teacher/psychologist...Ms. Morrel, maybe?) - I can't explain it, something just strikes me as off, particularly when she translated the page about the kanima for Allison. I also hope Allison remains badass...and that I can go back to loving Derek lol.
  • Typical Jackson, another home movie. Oh, this is so going to creep me out forever and ever. Wow, props to MTV for the complete awesome that was Jackson's video.
  • Wow, Crystal Reed is an absolutely amazing actress. She does badass and touching both so well.
  • Uh-oh, I hope Derek and Jackson don't hurt one another. Oh, wow, I love this show so much!
  • Oh, this is so tense. What a standoff! Wow, I cannot tell you how amazing this show is. If you are not a fan, then you've obviously never watched it, and in that case, go watch it.
  • I love Stiles. I. Love. Stiles. I love Stiles. That sarcasm thing was the most beautiful comment ever.
  • Oh, my God, it's a gay club! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Hahahahahahaha! This is the most hilarious thing that could possibly happen. Oh, my God...this is beyond funny.
  • Oh, I hope nothing happens to Lydia's dog...named Prada. WIN. Well, hello, there Mr. Tall, Dark and Prada.
  • ...I'm sorry, but is the sight of gyrating gay dudes so captivating you can't see the giant lizard.
  • And, Derek is in the gay bar, too. This could get better. NO! He did not! NO! Not Jackson! Derek you son of a bitch! Oh, thank God!
  • Aw, this is too cute. Who is this guy? I like him! I fully support Jackson/Lydia, but this guy is great.
  • Danny is a total boss. Just saying.
  • ...And Stiles, Scott and Jackson are in a van together at a gay club. Oh, this is ridiculous. Haha, "not dressed like that."
  • I really, really, really hope nothing bad happens to Jackson...Like I said in my last Teen Wolf post, I really feel bad for him...Oh, what have they done with him...Haha, this isn't bad at all! This is actually hilarious.
  • Oh, Gerard, you are a freaking psychopath. What is wrong with you?
  • Uh-oh, anytime you start with shoes, it's going to be bad...Oh, shit!
  • Aw, poor Jackson.
  • Allison's mother is such a bitch.
  • Really, Scott's Mom? Now is an appropriate time to lay that on poor Scott.
  • Oh, poor Jackson, this is so heartbreaking...that tear...Aw, my heart is so breaking for him right now.
  • Aw, this is a sweet Allison/Scott moment.
  • Oh, well, this is an amazing scene...Jackson turning and Allison and Scott in the car.
  • Uh-oh...this is very bad. Oh, shit...this is very bad.
  • You gotta love Jackson though.
  • I knew Ms. Morrel was bad!
Oh, wow, that was one hell of an episode! I am over my momentary hatred of Derek, but I still pity Jackson...and love Stiles...and ship Scott/Allison.

You need to watch this show!

Young Bloods - Falling Skies Season 2 Episode 4

*This review contains spoilers.*

Once again, my review of TNT's Falling Skies. If I seem less excited, it's because I recently bought all the seasons of the BBC's Merlin on DVD this past weekend, and I'm a bit obsessed with that. Nevertheless, here we go!

  • I have no predictions, except to say I hope we keep up with Pope and Anthony, and I want the tensions between Ben, Hal and Tom to come to a head.
  • If anything happens to Matt, I'm going to be so upset. Who let him out on his own anyway? Oh, God, I sense these two becoming a real problem in the end.
  • Those assholes! How dare they!
  • I absolutely love that Robert E. Lee's quote "It is well that war is so terrible..." is on the wall by where they're camped out. That is so fitting. Props to TNT for that.
  • ...Oh, my God, the scene that ensues when Tom brings Anne the chocolate cake thing is the most darling, precious, adorable, perfect, magnificent scene in the entire world. You need to watch this! Aw! Squee! Squee!
  • Wow, a whole new band of people this is an interesting development. Yeah, Hal, you get those bikes back! I don't know if he should trust these people...they look suspicious.
  • Wow, Tom, way to be a dick.
  • Oh, my God! Aw! Captain Weaver and Jeanie is the most adorable thing ever! Aw! Yes, I'm so glad you brought them back, Hal!
  • Okay, Diego is okay, since he saw the whole Maggie/Hal thing a mile away.
  • Diego and Jeanie? I'm down with that. Oh, dear, are they setting up a Diego/Lourdes/Jameel love triangle?
  • Oh, Hal is so cute! He is absolutely my crush from this show!
  • Uh-oh, what happened? Nothing bad better happen, we just had all those cute couple-y moments for everybody, and now this? Not good!
  • Whoa, whoa, Diego and Captain Weaver need to back down. Oh, Matt...I don't even know whether or not I want you to go. I am liking his arc this episode.
  • I kind of like this Tector guy. I don't know where he came from (apart from Pope's gang, I mean), but he seems like a decent guy.
  • Oh, dear God! No! NO! This is not happening! Oh, ew, this is horrible. Not Jeanie and not Matt, please! Oh, thank God!
  • Oh, Ben, what are you doing! Dumbass move! Weaver better be okay...oh, this is so tense, I can't handle this!
  • Aw, this is sweet, but wait, Diego/Jeanie was a perfect couple...oh, no. :-(
  • Come on, Ben...he's your brother.
  • Lourdes/Jameel is moving along nicely.
  • Jeanie, what are you doing?! Are you running away with Diego? I loved Diego/Jeanie, but don't leave Weaver like this. Oh, Jeanie, what are you doing! This is probably the first time I ever advocated NOT sneaking away with your lover...
  • Aw, Matt and Tom are just so adorable.
  • This last scene with the guitar and all these different people is so perfect, and the pan up to the sky, that is so classy! I loved that!
Okay, that was a really great episode. Lourdes/Jameel,  Anne/Tom and even Hal/Maggie are really becoming perfect, but Jeanie/Diego...I don't know what I think...she should have convinced them to stay, that would have been a happier ending for this episode.

Anyway, I love this show and this was an especially great episode, both from romance and action, so if you haven't seen it, I suggest you do, and if you don't watch Falling Skies then you should definitely start!

Thanks for reading!
